Vocational Training – helps you gain or improve qualifications that meet professional standards needed for a job or career.
You can start studying at a vocational training institution from the age of 14. These schools accept students who have completed 9th, 10th, or 12th grade, and the training usually lasts from 1 to 3 years.
Young people coming from abroad are admitted under the same conditions as those living in Lithuania.
Initial and continuing vocational training
Vocational training can be either initial or continuing. You can also study through an apprenticeship — learning your future profession directly from an employer.
Initial vocational training is for gaining your first qualification and is available to:
students who have completed basic or secondary education;
students who have not completed basic education;
students who have studied in special education programs.
Continuing vocational training is for developing your existing skills or gaining a new qualification.
