SCHOOL COUNCIL
The School Council is a school management body made up in proportionate numbers of teachers, students, and their parents (guardians). With the help of the School Council, the most important management issues are decided, goals are set, and the school principal’s reports are reviewed and approved. Students have the same rights as teachers and parents to participate in the work of the School Council and to help improve the everyday life of the school community.
The term of office for student members of the School Council is set out in the school’s statutes. Student representatives are usually elected at a general meeting, where they nominate themselves as candidates; this is most often done at the beginning of the school year.
