“LT Big Brother is a voluntary professional mentoring programme for Lithuanians around the world. Its aim is to bring together in tandem and through informal personal interaction transfer the knowledge and experience of established Lithuanian professionals (“Big Brothers/Sisters”) to young people who are still climbing the career ladder or changing careers (“Small Brothers/Sisters”) in different regions of the world.

The objectives of unpaid mentoring are to facilitate the sharing of acquired professional experience and knowledge, thus contributing to professional development and increasing the openness and attractiveness of the diplomatic service.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania invites Master’s students or graduates who have completed their studies at least 1 year ago to participate in the Diplomatic Service Talent Programme and, in cooperation with experienced diplomats, to get to know the versatility and tasks of the diplomatic service, to get to know the profession of a diplomat, to take part in international networking activities, conferences, and meetings, to contribute to the solution of global problems, to improve their skills, to enhance their knowledge on the selected topics, and to gain useful work experience at the same time.
