The State Studies Fund can help you get a loan on favourable terms with a state guarantee for bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and non-degree studies. You can get a state-supported loan to pay for your studies, cover living expenses, or for partial studies under international agreements.
You start repaying the loan 12 months after you finish or terminate the studies for which the loan was granted. This means that during your studies you do not need to worry about paying the loan back. You will have to repay the loan within 15 years.
When you use financing services, you take on financial commitments. If you do not meet these commitments properly, it can negatively affect your credit history or make borrowing more expensive, so take financial commitments seriously and consider the risks.
Good to know:
Every academic year you can apply for a new loan.
Loans are given only for the current academic year.
During your studies, interest on the loan can be paid for you from state funds.
If you temporarily suspend your studies, loan repayment does not start – in that case you keep paying only the interest.
If you face financial difficulties paying your loan instalments, do not hesitate to contact the bank.
