Internship and Volunteering Opportunities at the Lithuanian Zoo
Internships and volunteering provide an opportunity to learn about the operations, goals, and functions of the Lithuanian Zoo while gaining general knowledge about the diversity of wildlife in Lithuania and worldwide.
Activity areas:
- Care of wild animals and veterinary practices.
- Observation of animals and data collection for projects related to animal welfare.
- Public education on proper behavior with wild animals to contribute to biodiversity conservation.
- Maintenance and organization of the Lithuanian Zoo’s territory, including participation in physically demanding but highly beneficial projects (removal of invasive plants, area cleaning, etc.).
The program’s goal is to provide alternative (non-formal) opportunities for development and learning through internship or voluntary work.
Who is eligible?
- Citizens of the Republic of Lithuania and individuals of Lithuanian descent with foreign citizenship.
- Adults proficient in Lithuanian, with at least a secondary, higher, or university education, as well as students and school pupils.

- Visitors’ experiences – who they are, why they visit, and what they enjoy about the park.
- The personal journey of the filmmaker, capturing their emotions and experiences while creating the films.
